Gram Unnayan Sangstha has been actively implementing awareness campaigns on climate change and environmental conservation, with a strong focus on promoting tree plantation as a pathway to climate resilience. Through seminars, workshops, and field visits, these initiatives engage and educate young people and local communities, building awareness about environmental protection and sustainable practices.
During 2023–24, the organization carried out targeted campaigns in the flood-affected districts of Netrokona and Mymensingh, highlighting the critical benefits of tree plantation in reducing climate vulnerability. As part of this effort, 2,500 saplings of Multi-Purpose Trees (MPT) were planted across various unions, contributing to ecological restoration, improved livelihoods, and long-term environmental sustainability.
Overall, these initiatives have directly and indirectly benefited more than 1,000 people, strengthening community resilience and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship in climate-vulnerable areas of Bangladesh.
