Who We Are

Gram Unnayan Sangstha is a non- profit and non-political voluntary development organization and has been working as a Local NGO in Bangladesh since 1986. It was formed with the initiative by a few enlightened social workers, development professional, educationists and philanthropists to improve the socio-economic and social conditions of disadvantaged people. The major activities of this organization are to aware the community people, income generating activities (IGA) education, skill development training, environmental awareness, disable support, health support, nutrition and family planning, agro-based development activities, women and child rights programs etc. Besides, Gram Unnayan Sangstha is committed to helping the destitute people to make them self-employed, so that they can contribute to the economic development of the country. Bangladesh lies in such geographical location that is vulnerable to natural calamities and man-made disasters. Every year a large number of people are getting added to the extremely poor community. Gram Unnayan Sangstha aims to bring forward the marginal group into the mainstream by providing them with income generation opportunities through training, education, and knowledge sharing.
