Ramadan Food Distribution
Ramadan is a month of fasting and charity in the Islamic calendar. During this holy month, Muslims around the world donate food, money, and other resources to help those in need. During the Ramadan period, the underprivileged people of remote areas in Bangladesh are not able to buy their daily essentials to mitigate their diet due to the price hike of daily essentials especially for food items such as rice, lentils, and oil. Considering the abnormal situation, Gram Unnayan Sangstha distributed food packages to widows, orphans and poor families. A total of 100 food packages, each package contains rice-20 kg, flour-05 kg, date-1 kg, pulse-2 kg, cooking oil-1 litre, sugar-02 kg were distributed among the poor, deserving and miserable families which covered approximately 100 people to afford Sahri and Iftar during Ramadan and in the day of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
